From Edinburgh and Glasgow and the North, Durisdeer can be reached from the A74(M) Junction 14 (Elvanfoot) take the A702 south toward Thornhill and 2 miles before Thornhill take a small road to the left to Durisdeer.

From Kilmarnock, Ayr and the North West, Durisdeer can be reached from the A76 south to Dumfries, and turn left at Carronbridge along the A702 to Elvanfoot 2 miles along the A702 there is a right hand turn to Durisdeer.

From Carlisle and the South, Durisdeer can be reached from the A74(M) Junction 14 (Elvanfoot) take the A702 south toward Thornhill and 2 miles before Thornhill take a small road to the left to Durisdeer.

From Dumfries, Stranraer and the South West, Durisdeer can be reached from the A76 north from Dumfries to Kilmarnock, 2 miles after Thornhill, turn right at Carronbridge along the A702 to Elvanfoot 2 miles along the A702 there is a right hand turn to Durisdeer.
